The cute actress Telugu, Tamil and bolly wood actress, Genelia D'Souza was born on August 5th, 1987 in Mumbai.She is also known to people as Harini. Her parents originally hail from Goa. Genelia studied at St. Tereas High School in Santacruz, Mumbai. She joined St. Andrews College, Bandra to pursue her Bachelor's Degree of Management Studies.
She first hit the limelight with a Parker Pen commercial starring along side Amitabh Bachchan and further did a Fair and Lovely ad.She got her first break in the movie 'Boys' directed by Shankar. The film was a box-office hit and soon Genelia started getting more roles. Genelia has so far acted in several Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies. Genelia made her debut in Bollywood in 2003. Her first Hindi film was Tujhe Meri Kasam opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. The film went unnoticed. She left Bollywood for a while to concentrate on the Tollywood industry.
