The model, singer turned actress,Mamta Mohandas was on born November 14, 1985 in Kerala but brought up in Bahrain. She has come back to Banglore, India in 2002 for the higher studies. She has studied in Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. The 5 feet 7 inches tall Mamta Mohandas has also done modelling for IBM, Kalyan Kendra, on the ramp for the Mysore Maharajah and Raymonds before joining films.
Mamta has also made her entry in Kollywood playback singing by crooning a tune named "Kaalai Kaalai" in the film Kaalai, which stars Silambarasan, Vedhika as well as Nila in a guest role.
